Daily Stingers (Bellringers)

Every class begins with the same 10-minute routine, using the deck below:

1. Rewrite today’s question in your own words, on your own line.
2. Write your response. At least 3 sentences, aim for 5. Explain your thinking. Don’t just answer in a single word or phrase. Stuck on how to start? Try: “I think ___ because ___. One example of this is ___.”
3. Share your response with a classmate.
4. Copy their response underneath yours.
5. Synthesize what the two responses had in common, in 1 to 2 sentences.

Responses are recorded on the stinger response sheet and compiled across the unit into that unit’s F6: Stinger Grade (see the Formative Assessment System in _planning/2026-27-scope-and-sequence.md).
