Portfolio Website

For your final project you will submit a portfolio website on Google Sites that catalogues your major works that you have created during Digital Communications technology.

Process

Collect

  1. Collect versions of your work that can be displayed on the Internet
    1. You must include examples of all summative assignments from this school year: (Please ensure that your sharing permissions are turned on)
    2. All projects should be exported so that they can be displayed on the web. (NO LINKS TO DOWNLOADS)
    3. In order to display videos on a Google Sites page, you must embed a Google Drive link (Again, ensure that your sharing permissions are turned on)
  2. If you do not have your work in a web-safe format (jpeg, png, gif) you will have to return to your project file to export your final design in an appropriate format.

    Describe and Document

  3. Each project should be accompanied by a detailed description. A complete overview of what should appear in a description is available here.
  4. Finally, you should include examples of any other work that you have created you feel is worthy of adding to your portfolio page. All submissions should be uploaded in web safe formats (PNG or JPEG)

    Refine

  5. Your website should have a unified design that captures your personality.
  6. Your website should contain an About Me page where you introduce yourself. (5-7 Sentences)

    Publish

  7. Ensure that you hit “Publish” before submitting your site. This is what “saves” changes so that I can see your updates.
  8. Use the “Copy Published Site Link” button to copy your URL.
  9. DO NOT COPY THE LINK FROM THE MENU BAR
  10. Submit a link to your portfolio site to the assignment page on our LMS (Schoology)
